Many online fora have an Introductions thread, so on Marc's suggestion, I'm going to kick-off and we'll see where we get with it.
I'm from the UK, coming to NZ later this year (2009) to pursue a PhD in fish ecology. My MSc was at a university in England's West Midlands, the thesis was on allocthonous input consumed by brown trout and due to the comprehensive inputs quantified, was novel work for the UK. It couldn't have taken place without working with the UK's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.
My BSc was studied through the UK's premier distance learning institute, the Open University.
Prior to getting hooked on fish (sorry for the unintentional pun), I spent 10 happy years in the graphic design industry, so I sometimes feel I'm in my second lifetime!
